Turkey has announced its readiness to provide military support and training to Syria if the new administration requests it, according to Turkish Defense Minister Yasar Güler. He stated, "We have cooperation agreements with many countries. We are ready to provide support if requested by the new administration in Syria." Ankara is prepared to assist the new authorities, emphasizing the importance of giving them a chance to govern following their constructive messages. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan expressed that Turkey seeks a democratic civilian authority in Syria and does not intend to replace Iran's role in the country, saying, "We won't replace Iran in Syria." He also revealed that Turkey is coordinating with Saudi Arabia at the highest levels regarding Syria and is ready to mediate between Washington and the new Syrian administration.
