President-elect Trump Likely to Grant TikTok 90-Day Extension, Decision Expected Monday
Jan 18, 2025, 05:40 PM
President-elect Donald Trump stated in an interview with NBC News' Kristen Welker on Saturday that he will "most likely" grant TikTok a 90-day extension to avoid a potential ban in the United States after he assumes office on Monday. Trump indicated that he has not made a final decision but said, "If I decide to do that, I'll probably announce it on Monday." The extension would provide TikTok, owned by China's ByteDance, additional time to negotiate a sale or address national security concerns raised by U.S. officials.
