IDF Airstrikes Target Hezbollah After Rocket Attacks from Tayr Harfa
Aug 23, 2024, 05:56 AM
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted a series of airstrikes targeting Hezbollah operatives in southern Lebanon following rocket attacks on northern Israel. On Wednesday, the IDF announced the elimination of a Hezbollah terrorist cell that had launched rockets towards the area of Zar'it. The operatives were located in the village of Chihine, southern Lebanon. The IDF released footage showing the targeting of the building used by the Hezbollah cell. On Thursday, elements of the IDF's 146th Division identified another Hezbollah unit in Tayr Harfa preparing to launch rockets. An airstrike, involving fighter jets, attack helicopters, and a drone strike, was requested and executed, resulting in the destruction of the terrorist cell. Despite the strikes, a projectile was observed being launched from the Tayr Harfa area, suggesting the presence of additional weapons.
