He also expressed openness to Oracle Chairman Larry Ellison as a potential buyer. Trump mentioned that he has met with TikTok's owners and emphasized that the app is "worthless if it doesn't get a permit" to operate in the United States. He suggested that TikTok could be worth up to $1 trillion with the permit and proposed that if someone were to buy TikTok and give half of it to the U.S. government, he would support granting the necessary permit.
