Fidan criticized countries that attempt to advance their interests in Syria by using U.S. power, particularly calling out France for its stance on deploying troops to the Syrian border. He stressed that Turkey's only counterpart in this matter is the U.S., and reiterated Turkey's commitment to fighting terrorism, including both PKK/YPG and ISIS, with the same determination.
