President Donald Trump insisted he was serious about taking over Greenland during a fiery telephone call last week with Denmark's Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, according to five current and former senior European officials briefed on the call. The conversation was described as 'horrendous' and a 'cold shower', with Trump reportedly threatening Denmark in a very aggressive manner. Denmark is now in crisis mode and 'utterly freaked out' over the U.S. president's determination to acquire the resource-rich Arctic territory. Greenland's Prime Minister Mute Egede has reiterated that the island is not for sale.
