Syria's New Foreign Minister Warns Iran to Respect Sovereignty, Stop Spreading Chaos

Syria's newly appointed Foreign Minister, Asaad Hassan al-Shibani, on Tuesday warned Iran against interfering in Syria's internal affairs and spreading chaos in the country. In a statement relayed via Al Jazeera, al-Shibani urged Tehran to respect the will of the Syrian people, as well as Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity. 'We warn Iran against spreading chaos in Syria and hold it accountable for the consequences of its recent statements,' al-Shibani said, referencing remarks made by Iranian officials. He emphasized that Iran should refrain from interfering and respect Syria's safety and independence.
