Houthis Accuse US and UK of Airstrikes on Sanaa's Ma’een District After Israeli Strikes Kill Six
Dec 27, 2024, 07:00 PM
Airstrikes targeted the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, on Friday, following deadly Israeli airstrikes on Thursday. The Houthis, who control Sanaa, accused the United States and the United Kingdom of conducting the latest attack. The strikes on Friday focused on the Ma’een District in Sanaa, with no casualties reported. The previous day, Israeli airstrikes hit Sanaa International Airport and other key sites, resulting in at least six deaths. The WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus was at the airport during the Israeli strike, and a crew member was injured. The Houthis have vowed to intensify their attacks against Israel in response to these aggressions.
