U.S. and Israeli Airstrikes Hit Sanaa Airport and Hodeidah, Targeting Iran-Backed Houthis
Dec 26, 2024, 01:49 PM
The U.S. military conducted precision airstrikes on Saturday targeting a missile storage facility and a command-and-control facility operated by Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen's capital, Sanaa. Subsequent reports on Monday indicated that airstrikes hit Sanaa International Airport, with Yemeni sources and Houthi media attributing the attack to Israel. The strikes reportedly targeted the airport's control tower, planes, and runways, resulting in several casualties. Additional airstrikes were also reported in the city of Hodeidah on Monday. An Israeli source confirmed to Sky News Arabia that Israel carried out the strike on Sanaa International Airport.
