UAE Soldiers Killed in Tuesday Airstrikes on Nyala Airport, Darfur

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Defense has announced the deaths of four soldiers and injuries to nine others in an unspecified accident. Reports indicate that the soldiers were killed during airstrikes by the Sudanese Armed Forces on an airport in Nyala, Darfur, Sudan, where an Emirati cargo plane had landed. The city of Nyala has been under firm RSF control for almost a year. The incident occurred on Tuesday. The UAE has expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and visited the injured soldiers receiving treatment at Zayed Military Hospital.
