During a meeting at Mar-a-Lago, President-elect Donald Trump reportedly told Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau that if Canada cannot survive without "ripping off" the United States to the tune of $100 billion a year, then perhaps Canada should become the 51st state, with Trudeau as its governor. The remark came after Trudeau expressed concern that a proposed 25% U.S. tariff would harm the Canadian economy.
