DUI Driver Jamie Komoroski Gets 25 Years for Killing Bride Samantha Miller on Wedding Night
Dec 2, 2024, 09:51 PM
Jamie Lee Komoroski, the woman accused in a DUI crash that killed 34-year-old bride Samantha Miller on her wedding night in Folly Beach, South Carolina, has pleaded guilty to all charges. The incident occurred last year when Komoroski, driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level three times the legal limit and well over twice the speed limit, crashed into a golf cart carrying the newlyweds, Samantha Miller and her husband Aric Hutchinson, along with members of their wedding party. Miller was killed, and others, including Hutchinson, were seriously injured. During a court appearance on Monday afternoon in Charleston, Komoroski pleaded guilty to three counts of felony DUI and one count of reckless homicide resulting in death. She was sentenced to 25 years in prison. Families of the victims pleaded for the maximum sentence.
