Columbus Blue Jackets star Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew Gaudreau have tragically passed away following a bicycle accident in Oldmans Township, Salem County, New Jersey. The incident occurred on Thursday night when the brothers, both New Jersey natives, were struck by a vehicle driven by a suspected drunk driver. Johnny Gaudreau, aged 31, and Matthew Gaudreau, aged 29, were in New Jersey for their sister's wedding, where they were to be groomsmen. The hockey community and fans are mourning the loss of the Gaudreau brothers, who were well-regarded both on and off the ice.
