On July 21, a vehicle drove off Pier 21 in Galveston, Texas, with four people initially reported to be inside. The driver, a 21-year-old from Dickinson, has been charged with DWI. Dive teams searched the water, but no one was found in the car when it was pulled from the water. The three individuals who were initially believed to be missing have since been accounted for and are safe. The driver had claimed that three passengers were with him, but they were not in the vehicle at the time of the incident.
