Lebanese FM: Nasrallah Agreed to 21-Day Ceasefire Before Assassination by Israel
Oct 3, 2024, 04:37 AM
Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib disclosed that Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah had agreed to a 21-day ceasefire with Israel just before his assassination. Bou Habib stated that the Lebanese government informed the United States and France about the ceasefire agreement, and both nations confirmed that Israel had also accepted the terms. The temporary ceasefire was reportedly brokered by the US and France, with President Biden and President Macron involved in the negotiations. Despite the agreement, Nasrallah was killed by Israel shortly after the ceasefire was established, with Netanyahu allegedly aware of the ceasefire.
