Biden Calls Nasrallah's Death by Israeli Airstrike on Saturday 'Measure of Justice'
Sep 28, 2024, 04:49 PM
President Joe Biden has issued a statement regarding the death of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed by an Israeli airstrike on Saturday. Biden described Nasrallah's death as 'a measure of justice for his many victims,' highlighting that Nasrallah and Hezbollah were responsible for killing hundreds of Americans over a four-decade reign of terror. The President emphasized that Nasrallah's victims included thousands of Americans, Israelis, and Lebanese civilians. Additionally, Biden directed the Secretary of Defense to enhance the defense posture of US military forces in the Middle East to deter aggression. Biden also mentioned the aim to de-escalate the ongoing conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon.
