IDF Releases Drone Footage of Injured Hamas Leader Yahya Sinwar Throwing Stick at Drone Before Elimination
Oct 17, 2024, 08:16 PM
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have released drone footage purportedly capturing the final moments of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar before his elimination. The footage shows Sinwar, with his face covered and an apparent significant injury to his right arm, throwing a stick or piece of wood at an Israeli drone while taking cover behind chairs on the second floor of a building in Rafah. Reports indicate that Sinwar was hiding with his bodyguards when the building was initially struck by a tank shell. He was reportedly found carrying 40,000 NIS (approximately $11,000) in cash and an UNRWA identification card. Initially not identified in the footage, Sinwar was later eliminated by IDF soldiers, marking the death of one of Hamas' top leaders responsible for orchestrating attacks against Israel.
