Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, 75, is set to undergo surgery to remove his prostate after being diagnosed with a urinary tract infection caused by benign prostate enlargement, according to his office. The surgery is scheduled for Sunday at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem, will be conducted under full anesthesia in an underground facility amid concerns of rocket fire, and is expected to last about two hours. Netanyahu will be hospitalized for several days following the procedure. Justice Minister Yariv Levin will serve as acting prime minister during the surgery, and Defense Minister Israel Katz is authorized to convene the security cabinet if necessary.
