IDF Uses 14 Jets to Strike Houthi Targets in Yemen Overnight, Deploying Over 60 Bombs
Dec 19, 2024, 05:25 PM
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have conducted overnight airstrikes on Houthi targets in Yemen, releasing footage of the operations. The strikes targeted various Houthi military and infrastructure assets, including fuel and oil depots, two power plants, and eight tugboats, in response to missile and drone attacks on Israel by the Iran-backed group. The operation involved 14 Israeli Air Force fighter jets, including F-15Ds and F-16Is, which flew approximately 2,000 kilometers (over 1,500 miles) to reach their targets. The aircraft were supported by refuelers and spy planes, with footage showing mid-air refueling to extend their range. The IDF used over 60 bombs to strike strategic targets, including the Ras Al-Issa oil refinery and the Hodeidah port.
