Dec 31, 2024, 12:12 PM
United States and British forces conducted airstrikes on Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen, targeting locations in the At-Tuhayta District south of Hodeidah and later in the capital Sana'a, according to Houthi media reports. The initial strikes on At-Tuhayta District on December 30 reportedly targeted a Houthi weapons depot. On December 31, further airstrikes hit multiple targets in Sana'a, including the Ministry of Defense headquarters, a weapons maintenance camp, the Al-Ardi Security Complex, the 22 May Complex in the Al-Thawra district, and the Ministry of Information. The number of airstrikes in the capital increased from four to at least eight, with multiple explosions heard across the city.
