Under Operation Lone Star, Texas law enforcement has seized over 622 million lethal doses of fentanyl since 2021, according to Governor Greg Abbott. This amount is enough to kill every man, woman, and child in the United States, Mexico, and Canada combined. The operation has also led to over 530,600 illegal immigrant apprehensions and more than 50,000 criminal arrests, with more than 43,000 felony charges reported. The state's efforts have resulted in an 87% decrease in illegal crossings into Texas, contributing to fewer migrants being transported to sanctuary cities.
