President-elect Donald Trump has condemned the New Orleans truck attack that occurred on New Year's Day at around 3:15 a.m., describing it as an 'act of pure evil.' The attack involved a pickup truck plowing into a crowd of revelers on Bourbon Street in the French Quarter, killing at least 10 people and injuring about 35 others. The suspect, identified as Shamsud-Din Bahar Jabbar, was killed in a police shootout. Authorities are investigating the incident as an act of terrorism, with the FBI leading the probe. Improvised explosives were reportedly found in the suspect's vehicle, though their functionality remains unclear. The truck reportedly entered the U.S. from Mexico through Eagle Pass, Texas, two days before the attack.
