Ukraine's army chief, Oleksandr Syrsky, reported that Ukrainian forces have made significant advances in Russia's Kursk region. In the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces advanced up to 2 kilometers and took control of 5 square kilometers of territory. This incursion has led to the redeployment of approximately 30,000 Russian troops. Ukrainian forces now control 100 towns and villages across 1,294 square kilometers. Russian authorities are responding by creating new volunteer territorial defense units.
