Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani, has been injured in a series of pager explosions across Beirut and southern Lebanon. The explosions have resulted in over 1,000 injuries. Lebanese media initially reported the incident, with subsequent confirmation from Iranian state media. The ambassador's injuries are reported to be superficial, and he is currently receiving treatment in a hospital. The Lebanese Minister of Health has stated that 8 people were killed and 2,800 were wounded in the explosions.
