U.S. Congressman Mike Turner Advocates NATO Military Action Against North Korean Troops in Ukraine, Calls It a Red Line
Nov 1, 2024, 08:44 AM
U.S. Congressman Mike Turner (R-OH), Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, has stated that the United States and NATO should contemplate direct military intervention against North Korean troops should they enter Ukrainian territory. During a discussion with the Atlantic Council, Turner emphasized that North Korean involvement would represent a 'red line' for the U.S. and its allies. He urged that the U.S. needs to articulate a clear position regarding the presence of North Korean forces in Russia, which has not yet been defined. Turner also called for support for Ukraine to respond to Russian attacks with strikes against targets deep within Russian territory, highlighting the seriousness of the situation should North Korean forces join Russia in the conflict.
