Roof Collapse at Delhi Airport's Terminal 1 Kills One, Injures Several; Flight Operations Suspended

A portion of the roof at Terminal 1 of Delhi Airport collapsed early Friday morning amid heavy rainfall, resulting in one death and several injuries. The incident occurred around 5 am, and emergency services, including three fire tenders, were promptly dispatched to the scene. Six people were reported injured, and all have been rescued and taken to the hospital. The collapse also caused significant damage to vehicles in the area. As a result, flight operations at Terminal 1 have been suspended until 2 pm, with all departing and arriving flights being redirected to Terminals 2 and 3. IndiGo flights have been cancelled. NDRF officials are present at the site. The Civil Aviation Minister is personally monitoring the situation. The Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has confirmed the incident and stated that emergency personnel are working on-site.
