A section of the Danfeng-Ningshan Expressway bridge in Zhashui County, Shangluo, Shaanxi province, collapsed on July 19 amid torrential rain. The collapse, which occurred around 8:40 pm, resulted in multiple vehicles plunging into the river below. The incident has led to 11 deaths and over 30 people missing. Chinese President Xi Jinping has called for all-out rescue and relief efforts to safeguard people's lives and property. The China National Comprehensive Fire and Rescue Team has deployed 736 personnel, 76 vehicles, 18 boats, and 32 drones to assist in the rescue operations.
