The Delhi High Court has described the deaths as a 'strange coincidence' and has directed the social welfare department secretary to visit the premises and file a report. Additionally, the court has ordered the Delhi Jal Board to test the quality of the water supplied to the shelter home and the condition of water in sewer pipelines, noting that nearly all deceased inmates had tuberculosis.
