Tesla Cybertruck Explodes Outside Trump Hotel in Las Vegas Due to Fireworks or Bomb, Killing One and Injuring Seven
Jan 1, 2025, 10:19 PM
A Tesla Cybertruck exploded outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas at around 8:40 a.m., resulting in one fatality and seven people sustaining minor injuries. The incident occurred in the hotel's valet area. The explosion is being investigated as a possible terrorist act, with authorities finding fireworks or bomb-like materials in the vehicle. The Cybertruck was rented through Turo, the same company that provided the vehicle used in a recent attack in New Orleans. Tesla CEO Elon Musk confirmed that the explosion was caused by large fireworks and/or a bomb in the truck's bed, unrelated to the vehicle itself. The FBI and local law enforcement are taking precautions to ensure community safety, and no further threat to the public has been identified. Eric Trump, executive vice president of the Trump Organization, and the organization itself expressed gratitude to the emergency services for their swift response.
