200 Aid Trucks Enter Gaza Strip, 600 Expected Daily After Israel-Hamas Ceasefire
Jan 19, 2025, 11:22 AM
Humanitarian aid trucks have begun entering the Gaza Strip following the implementation of a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. The first trucks, carrying essential supplies, entered Gaza from Egypt through the Rafah and Kerem Shalom border crossings. The United Nations reported that the initial convoys started moving into Gaza shortly after the ceasefire took effect. Approximately 200 aid trucks, including 20 carrying fuel, were part of the initial wave of assistance. The ceasefire agreement stipulates that about 600 trucks loaded with humanitarian aid, including fuel, are to enter Gaza daily to address the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
