Luxury Axel Brewers Hill Evacuated After Rooftop Pool Leak Condemns 60 Units
Sep 20, 2024, 05:30 PM
A luxury apartment building in Brewers Hill, Baltimore, was evacuated Friday morning due to a leak in the rooftop pool that raised concerns about the structural integrity of the building. At least 60 units in the Axel Brewers Hill complex were condemned as a result. The Baltimore City Fire Department confirmed the evacuation, and a structural engineer was called to assess the damage. Crews worked to pump water out of the pool to mitigate further risk. The incident has led to partial condemnation of the building. Drone footage shows the rooftop pool that buckled, causing the evacuation.
