Hezbollah Drone Hits Near Netanyahu's Caesarea Home; Two Drones Intercepted, PM Not Present
Oct 19, 2024, 07:08 AM
On Saturday morning during Shabbat, three drones launched from Lebanon reportedly penetrated Israeli airspace, with one striking a building near Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's private residence in Caesarea. The drones, believed to be kamikaze UAVs possibly launched by Hezbollah, evaded Israel's advanced air defenses. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) intercepted two of the drones, while the third achieved a direct hit on a building on the same street as Netanyahu's home, causing a loud explosion but no injuries. Netanyahu and his wife were not present at the residence at the time of the attack. The Prime Minister's office confirmed the incident, prompting Israeli security forces to block off streets and restrict media access in the area.
