IDF Intercepts Iran-Backed Militants' Drone Attack on Eilat, Israel
Nov 17, 2024, 10:20 PM
The Iran-backed Islamic Resistance in Iraq has claimed responsibility for launching a drone targeting Israel's southernmost city, Eilat, this morning. The incident occurred early in the morning, with sirens sounding in Eilat at 6 a.m. as the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) detected the drone approaching from the east. The Israeli Air Force (IAF) intercepted the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) before it could cross into Israeli territory. Multiple interceptors were launched at the target, and one of the interceptors fell in the area, but no casualties have been reported. The Islamic Resistance in Iraq released a video purportedly showing their drone attack against a 'vital target' in Eilat. An investigation into the incident is underway.
