94 Killed in Nigeria Tanker Explosion as Locals Scoop Fuel from Crash

At least 94 people were killed and 50 injured in northern Nigeria when a crashed fuel tanker exploded in Majiya Town, Taura Local Government Area of Jigawa State. The incident occurred on Tuesday as locals gathered to collect fuel from the overturned tanker, according to police reports. As people rushed to scoop up the spilled gasoline, the tanker exploded, leading to the high number of casualties. Several others have been hospitalized following the blast.
