American qualifier Learner Tien, ranked No.121, stunned fifth seed Daniil Medvedev at the Australian Open 2025, advancing to the third round. The 19-year-old defeated the three-time Australian Open finalist with scores of 6-3, 7-6(4), 6-7(8), 1-6, 7-6(10-7) in a marathon match lasting 4 hours and 48 minutes at Margaret Court Arena, concluding at approximately 2:55 AM in Melbourne.
