Iran Condemns US, UK Airstrikes on Yemen's Sa'ada Province Infrastructure
Jan 5, 2025, 12:29 AM
Iran's Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned recent airstrikes by the United States and the United Kingdom on Yemen's Sa'ada province. The attacks, which occurred early on Sunday, involved three aerial attacks targeting infrastructure in the northern region of Yemen. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei denounced the strikes as a blatant violation of Yemen's sovereignty and territorial integrity, stating that they contravene international law and the United Nations Charter. Baghaei warned that such aggressive actions would exacerbate insecurity and instability in West Asia. The condemnation follows previous airstrikes by the US and UK on Yemen's western coastal province of Hudaydah, indicating a pattern of military aggression against the country.
