Former President Jimmy Carter, 100, Nobel Laureate, Lies in State at Capitol with 21-Gun Salute

Former President Jimmy Carter, who passed away on December 29 at the age of 100, is being honored in Washington, D.C., with a state funeral and a series of memorial services. Carter's body arrived at the U.S. Capitol, where he became the 35th person to lie in state in the Rotunda until Thursday. A 21-gun salute was rendered in his honor.
