Pentagon Fears Espionage in Swiss Valley Involving Chinese Family and F-35 Jets
May 16, 2024, 01:14 PM
A rustic valley in Switzerland is now the center of a new mystery involving espionage. In 2018, a Chinese family purchased the Gasthof Rössli (Hotel Rössli) in the hamlet of Unterbach, located next to the Meiringen military airfield. This airfield is notable for housing advanced F-35 jets. The Pentagon has expressed concerns that the hotel may be used as a spying post by Beijing, given its proximity to the unsecured airstrip where these jets park. This issue was reported by Swiss media last Dec.
