A U.S. Air Force F-35 fighter jet crashed during takeoff at Albuquerque International Sunport in New Mexico. The incident occurred on Tuesday, with the pilot successfully ejecting from the aircraft. The pilot was conscious and transported to a hospital for treatment. The crash led to a significant explosion and emergency crews responded promptly to the scene. The aircraft was operating from Kirtland Air Force Base, which is adjacent to the airport. Flight operations at the Sunport have since resumed. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash. This is the second incident involving an F-35 in less than a year. The crash occurred near University and Rio Bravo.
