Trump Outpaces Biden in Q2 Fundraising by $98.9 Million, Raises $431 Million
Jul 21, 2024, 02:00 PM
Donald Trump raised significantly more money than Joe Biden in the second quarter of 2024. Fundraising groups aligned with Trump collected $431.2 million between April and June, which is $98.9 million more than the $332.4 million raised by pro-Biden groups. Despite this, Biden's campaign managed to outraise and outspend Trump's in June, though it entered July with only $96 million cash on hand after a substantial spending spree that depleted about 93% of its June funds. Trump's fundraising surge is attributed to a post-conviction boost, uniting the GOP and tripling their Q1 contributions. Meanwhile, the Republican National Committee reported receiving more than $66 million in donations in June, marking the best month for Trump-related fundraising in three and a half years. July numbers are expected to be worse for Democrats.
