Kamala Harris Raises $359 Million in September, Outspends Trump 3-to-1, Sets $1 Billion Quarterly Record
Oct 21, 2024, 11:31 AM
Kamala Harris's campaign has set a record for the biggest fundraising quarter ever, raising about $1 billion between July 1 and September 30. In September alone, Harris's campaign and affiliated Democratic committees raised more than $359 million, nearly setting the record for the biggest money month ever, just short of Joe Biden's record from September 2020. Harris significantly outperformed Donald Trump's campaign, which raised approximately $63 million in September. Harris not only outraised Trump by more than a 3-to-1 margin but also outspent him, with expenditures totaling $270 million compared to Trump's $78 million during the same period. Harris entered October with a substantial financial advantage, holding $348 million in cash on hand, surpassing Trump's $285 million. Both campaigns are heavily investing in television advertisements leading up to the November 5 presidential election.
