As vote counting continued, the NDP widened its lead in several key ridings, including Malahat, where they led by 106 votes, and Surrey City Centre, where they led by 178 votes. In Surrey-Guildford, the NDP overcame a narrow Conservative lead, ultimately taking the riding by a margin of 14 votes.
