IDF Uncovers Hezbollah Tunnel 220 Yards from UNIFIL Compound in Southern Lebanon

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have uncovered a Hezbollah tunnel located in close proximity to a United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) compound in southern Lebanon. The tunnel, which is situated approximately 220 yards from a UN post, was revealed to reporters during a site visit organized by the Israeli army. The location of the tunnel is strategically significant as it overlooks the settlements of Western Galilee and is within the line of sight of a nearby UN observation post. IDF Captain (res.) Gilad highlighted the discovery of the tunnel shaft and a weapons cache, found just 20-30 meters from the UNIFIL base. Israeli media published documentation showing the visible Hezbollah bunker.
