IDF Uncovers 800-Meter Hezbollah Tunnel Stocked with Weapons in Civilian Area, Planned for Radwan Force's Invasion
Oct 14, 2024, 04:03 PM
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have uncovered an expansive underground compound in southern Lebanon that served as a command center for Hezbollah's elite Radwan Force. The tunnel, stretching 800 meters and located in the heart of a civilian neighborhood, was stocked with a massive amount of weapons, ammunition, and motorcycles intended for a potential invasion of Israel. Among the weapons found were mortar shells, mines, rifles, anti-tank missiles, helicopter-fired missiles, and combat vests. The compound also included living quarters and facilities for long-term stays, such as a kitchen stocked with food and supplies. The IDF stated that Hezbollah had planned to use the compound to invade Israel and repeat an October 7-like attack.
