Israel's military and intelligence services announced that they have eliminated Ruhi Mushtaha, the head of the Hamas government in the Gaza Strip and the right-hand man of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, in a joint operation conducted three months ago. Mushtaha was killed along with two other senior Hamas operatives: Sameh al-Saraj, who held the security portfolio in Hamas' political bureau, and Sami Oudeh. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Israel Security Agency (ISA) confirmed that the precision strike in Gaza was part of Israel's ongoing efforts against Hamas following the attacks on October 7, 2023.
