Elon Musk: Bomb Caused Deadly Cybertruck Explosion at Trump Hotel; Authorities Investigate Terrorism
Jan 1, 2025, 10:21 PM
Elon Musk confirmed that the explosion involving a rented Tesla Cybertruck outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas was caused by very large fireworks and/or a bomb carried in the bed of the vehicle. The vehicle was rented from the Turo rental app. Musk stated that the incident was unrelated to the vehicle itself, with all vehicle telemetry reporting positive at the time of the explosion. Authorities are investigating the explosion, which resulted in the death of one person, as an act of terrorism.
