A new study has found that vaccination has been credited for a 70% reduction in the risk of long COVID over the course of the pandemic. The large study, which traced cases through the Delta and Omicron variants, indicates that while the risk of long COVID is significantly lower among vaccinated individuals, it still persists as infections continue. Researchers from @WUSTLmedschool and @nejm reported that in the first two years of the pandemic, the rate of long COVID was starkly lower among people who were vaccinated.
