North Korea Accuses South Korea of Drone Incursions, Orders Eight Brigades to Full Readiness
Oct 13, 2024, 01:53 PM
North Korea has accused South Korea of sending drones over its capital, Pyongyang, three times to drop anti-regime leaflets, calling it a military provocation and a violation of sovereignty. In response, North Korea has placed its offensive weapons on full alert along the border and threatened to retaliate with force if such incidents occur again. South Korea has denied these accusations, labeling them as irresponsible and dangerous. The situation has escalated with North Korea ordering its artillery units near the border to full combat readiness, including eight brigades. Kim Yo-jong, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, has warned of a 'horrible disaster' if South Korean drones are found in Pyongyang again. Additionally, some of North Korea's trash balloons sent towards South Korea were equipped with GPS devices.
