Feridun Sinirlioğlu Becomes First Turkish Citizen to Lead OSCE

Feridun Sinirlioğlu, a retired Turkish Ambassador, has been appointed as the new Secretary-General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), becoming the first Turkish citizen to hold this position in the organization's 50-year history. His appointment was confirmed by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, who congratulated him on his new role. The OSCE, which includes 57 participating countries from North America, Europe, and Asia, has now entrusted Sinirlioğlu with leading its efforts in security and cooperation.
