Mosfilm Donates 28 T-55 Tanks, 8 PT-76 Tanks, and 6 BMP Vehicles to Russian Military for Ukraine Conflict
Nov 13, 2024, 01:53 PM
Russia's oldest film studio, Mosfilm, has donated dozens of Soviet-era tanks and armored vehicles, originally used as film props and produced in the 1950s, to the Russian military for use in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The donation includes 28 T-55 tanks, eight PT-76 light tanks, six BMP infantry fighting vehicles, and eight military tractors. This equipment, stored at Mosfilm's military-technical base, was handed over last year. The move was confirmed by Mosfilm's CEO, Karen Shakhnazarov, during a meeting with President Vladimir Putin, where he also boasted that the studio had donated around $60,000 for Russia’s war needs in 2024.
